Pluralism

Political, social and cultural pluralism: the recognition of diversity as a condition of democracy.

Pluralism is the very condition of democracy: without diversity of opinions, interests, and ways of life there is no genuine choice or meaningful representation. From Berlin and Bobbio to Sartori and Rawls, pluralism has been defended as an antidote to dogmatism and as the basis of republican coexistence. Revista Conciencia Democrática publishes analysis and essays deepening this democratic condition.
